Lighting the Way

During the Maryland Lighthouse Challenge, held each September, participants drive around the state trying to see the 10 beacons that make up the event. But any time of the year is a good time to go lighthouse viewing. (Note that some are only open seasonally, so check before you go.) Here's a look at eight of the lighthouses that were part of September's tour.

Article | Maryland is home to about two dozen lighthouses, all clinging to the edges of the Chesapeake and its tributaries. Take part in the Maryland Lighthouse Challenge and you can't avoid them.
