Tom Lantos, 1928 - 2008

Congressman Tom Lantos (D-Calif.), died February 11, 2008, due to esophageal cancer. Lantos, the only Holocaust survivor to be elected to Congress, served 14 terms in the House and rose to become chairman of the influential Committee on Foreign Affairs.
