Mexico Welcomes Obama

President Obama made his first trip as President to Central America and the Carribean for the Summit of the Americas. Obama is the first president since Clinton in 1997 to stop in Mexico City, signaling support for the country and President Calderon.

Article | PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago, April 17 -- President Obama was forced to confront long-standing resentment of U.S. dominance of Latin America as he told regional leaders here Friday evening that his administration seeks an "equal partnership" with the rest of the hemisphere.
