The Many Faces of Sacha Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen's latest movie, "Bruno," is another addition to the controversial chameleon's ouvre. Here, a look back at the shape-shifting actor/comedian.

Cohen found his first modest stateside success in 2003 with "Da Ali G Show" on HBO. The characters featured in the show -- a self-important London hip-hopper, Kazakh dunderhead and over-the-top gay fashion reporter served as prototypes for his later work.

In 2006, Cohen (right) took on the role of rival driver Jean Gerard in Will Ferrell's (left) NASCAR comedy "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

The 2006 faux-documentary "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," featured Cohen as hapless, tactless Kazakh cultural crusader Borat. The movie, made for $18 million, snowballed to eventually gross $129 million in ticket sales.

The real Sacha Baron Cohen, married to actress Isla Fischer, holds his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture -- Comedy or Musical for his role in "Borat" at the 64th annual Golden Globe Awards.
