Lindsay Lohan: A metamorphosis

Lindsay Lohan has been, dare we say it, looking a bit rough of late. Maybe it's the bleached hair or the fake tan, but it's getting harder to remember that Lohan is only 23. Today, a look at Lohan through the years.

Lindsay Lohan began modeling at age 3, appearing in ads for everything from Toys "R" Us to Abercrombie Kids. At 10, she landed a role on "Another World." In 2000, a 14-year-old Lohan (second from right) also played Bette Midler's daughter in the short-lived CBS sitcom "The Bette Show."

Although already a hit in Disney's "Freaky Friday" and "Parent Trap" remakes, Lohan hit big when "Mean Girls" hit theaters in 2004. At right, she mugs for cameras at the movie's Los Angeles premiere.

By May 2005, an 18-year-old bleach blond Lilo's rapidly shrinking frame had tabloids abuzz with rumors of an eating disorder and possible drug abuse. She attributed the change to exercise.

In a 2006 Vanity Fair interview Lohan admitted to dabbling with drugs. Apparently at a healthier weight, Lohan confessed to battling bulimia, saying, "I knew I had a problem and I couldn't admit it."

In February 2007, Lohan completed a month of rehab at the Wonderland Center. In May, Lohan was arrested when she ran her car up on a curb and police found cocaine in her car. Two days after the arrest, she entered rehab again. Then, in July 27, Lohan was booked for suspicion of drunk driving. She eventually spent one day in jail and was given three years probation. In Oct. 2009, a judge extended the probation by one year.

In June, a bathing suit-clad Lohan -- likely the victim of her own Sevin Nyne brand tanning mist -- was paid a reported $70K to host at staged birthday party at Las Vegas's Wet Republic, a club at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino.
