Passover preparations are underway

One of the many rituals of Passover, which begins Monday at sundown, involves cleaning the home and synagogue -- external cleaning that reflects an internal cleansing and preparation of the self. One of the last details in this cleansing is to round up all the hametz, or leavened food, which is forbidden during the holiday.
