Explosions at two subway stations are the deadliest and most sophisticated terrorist attack in the Russian capital in six years, officials say.

That blast and one in the Park Kultury station nearby killed 39 people people -- the death toll rose from 38 on Tuesday -- and injured at least 60 as two female suicide bombers blew themselves up in the two Moscow train stations during the Monday morning rush hour.
