The Deamonte Driver Dental Project

The Deamonte Driver Dental Van, named for the 12-year-old who died from an infected tooth, made its first stop at the Foundation School in Largo on Nov. 11, 2010. The three-chair mobile clinic aims to prevent other children from dying from untreated tooth decay.

Deamonte Driver, 12, underwent emergency brain surgery at Children's National Medical Center in January 2007 after an infection from an abscessed tooth spread to his brain.
