Iran sends ships through the Suez Canal

Iranian officials hailed the passage two warships through the Suez Canal in February as a milestone in an Iranian effort to play a greater role in maritime affairs. But Israeli officials called it a worrisome provocation at a time of upheaval and deepening tension in the Middle East.
