Prosecutors said Ali Al-Timimi influenced a group of young Muslim men in Northern Virginia who played paintball games as a means of training for holy war around the globe. Eleven men were charged in connection with actions they took after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Nine were convicted or pleaded guilty; two were cleared.
