Extending Metro at a Lesser Cost

State project managers for the Dulles rail extension project, which ultimately would extend Metrorail from West Falls Church through Tysons Corner and on to Dulles International Airport, have offered proposals to cut the cost of the first phase to Wiehle Avenue from $2.4 billion to $1.8 billion.
