The Muslim Population
The Council on American-Islamic Relations estimates the Muslim population in the greater Washington region at 250,000. Looking at a narrower slice of the population, a study from the State University of New York estimates the Washington-area's "Muslim-origin" population - residents with ancestry from predominantly Muslim countries - at 114,000.
