The Marine Corps Marathon begins at 8:15 a.m. today. About 120,000 people are expected to watch 34,000 registered participants race the 26.2-mile course. About 4,500 Marines, sailors, civilian workers and volunteers organize the event. Streets along the course will be affected until as late as 2:45 p.m. as runners pass, and Route 110 in Arlington will be closed until 3:30 p.m.
