Levels and Points

Under the Accelerated Reader program, books are assigned a level to indicate who can read the book. For example, a 4.5 means students with mid-fourth-grade ability should be able to understand the text. Point values also are assigned to each book. The calculations are based on the number of words in a book, among other data.
