Delegates in Texas are divvied among the 31 Senate districts according to how heavily each supported the Democrat in the most recent presidential election and in the most recent gubernatorial election. As a result, some districts that stretch across wide swaths of Texas are worth as few as two delegates, while some small, urban areas with high concentrations of Democrats are worth as many as eight delegates.
