A Home Can Be a Classroom, Too

More than 2 percent of American students were home-schooled in 2003, according to the National Center for Education Statistics - and that number is growing quickly. The population of home-schooled children swelled from 850,000 in 1999 to 1.1 million in 2003, an increase of 29 percent. Here's a look at their families.
