The Olympic torch, ignited on Mount Olympus, Greece, on March 24, is being carried, driven and flown around the world. Some portions of the trip to China are covered by special charter plane. But the flame must never die until the giant Olympic cauldron is lighted in Beijing.

Article | BEIJING, April 9 -- A high-ranking Olympic official declared Wednesday that anti-Chinese protests during the torch relay had been "unacceptable," while acknowledging that he had watered down an official statement urging China to settle the conflict in Tibet.
