Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, the first piece of the $4 billion National Harbor development, officially opens Friday. Stores and restaurants along the main street will begin to open next month. Eventually, the 300-acre project will have enough housing, dining and retail options to be a self-contained community, and it will offer other attractions to draw visitors.
