Hindsight: More Fuel for the Fire

All the talk these days is about oil prices. But have you looked at natural gas lately? Surging energy demand worldwide is also feeding a run-up in natural gas prices, which have soared about 120 percent in the past year. A few players in the field have had standout gains. Energen gained 39 percent in the year ended June 27, Equitable Resources rose 36 percent, National Fuel Gas grew 35 percent, Questar rose 32 percent, and Laclede climbed 27 percent.
