Pride, Progress and Obama

Majorities say that Barack Obama's nomination is evidence of progress for African Americans everywhere and that he would provide a leading role model for young black men. Among African Americans, his candidacy has prompted even greater pride in America and a boost in the number who believe their child could grow up to be president.
