Fort Belvoir, in the midst of a massive years-long expansion under the Base Realignment and Closure program, will grow to more than 43,000 personnel. It is the preferred site of the National Museum of the U.S. Army. Other projects include a hospital, a rehabilitation center and roads on the main post, the Engineer Proving Ground and Mark Center.
