Landowners' Rockville Pike Proposal

Montgomery County wants to transform the White Flint area along Rockville Pike from a disconnected series of low-rise buildings, strip malls and parking lots into an urban village of housing, jobs and stores. A group of large landowners envisions a cluster of tall buildings on either side of the road, with buildings decreasing in height based on proximity to the Pike and other factors, as shown here. The buildings would be taller than the maximum proposed by the county.
