The $7 million man

Mike Shanahan will make a lot of money coaching the Redskins next season (although it's roughly the same as he made in Denver). On one hand, he likely will be the highest paid coach in the NFL. On the other, he'll still be a good chunk short of Phil Jackson, who gets more than $1 million per year for each of his nine rings. And don't forget, with the cost of living around D.C., $7 million just doesn't go as far as it used to.
