Beer money

The National Beer Wholesalers Association gave nearly $300,000 this year to co-sponsors of a bill it favors that is aimed at tamping down direct alcohol sales. It also gave nearly $50,000 to Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), whose committee is handling the legislation.
