Historic Red Line repairs

Metro will close Takoma, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton and Glenmont stations for track rehabilitation over the Labor Day weekend. During the track work Metro will operate free shuttle buses between the Fort Totten and Glenmont stations. Customers traveling through the work zone should add 40 minutes to their trip. This will be one of the largest maintenance projects involving station closures in Metro's 34-year history.
