Déjà vu in Maryland?

Despite Republican momentum across the United States, Maryland's Democratic governor has a double-digit lead in his bid for reelection. Most of the state's voters give the governor high marks, and there is significantly less dissatisfaction with Washington than there is elsewhere. But the GOP hopeful -- a former governor -- is also popular and has five weeks to close the gap in the largely blue state.
