Most see negative tone, few fault climate in Arizona shootings

The public sees the national political discourse in a negative light, and nearly half say it is bad enough to encourage violence. However, most say the climate was not to blame for the Arizona shooting. High marks for the president on the issue lift his overall ratings, but not his ratings on marquee issues.
