Targeting regulations

About 200 businesses and industry groups responded to a request by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the new chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, to identify "existing and proposed regulations that have negatively impacted job growth." Many of these Obama Administration regulations will be scrutinized at hearings by Issa's committee, which could lead to legislation by House Republicans to repeal or change them. Business groups singled out scores of rules as unduly burdensome, including ones that do the following:
