ABOUT THIS STORY | Developmentally disabled 13-year-old Alexis "Lexie" Agyepong-Glover was found dead in a creek near Woodbridge in January 2009. Her mother, Alfreedia Gregg-Glover, reported Lexie missing two days before the girl's body was found; police later discovered that Gregg-Glover had left Lexie in the creek to die days before. Gregg-Glover pleaded guilty to charges of felony murder, felony child abuse, and filing a false police report in July. The case has raised questions about whether state and local agencies ignored allegations of abuse before the girl died.
