E-Mail Groups from the Metropolitan Police

MPD Community Pages |  The Metropolitan Police Department's online groups allow residents to discuss issues and events with law enforcement and each other. Members of these groups receive updates on local crime and can reach out to department staff to report news and ask questions. These groups are organized by police district; if you're not sure which district you live in, use the District's Citizen Guide or see below.


Districts
District 1 |  Covers the National Mall, Capitol Hill and downtown D.C. down to the Navy Yard; bordered by the Anacostia River along the south.

District 2 |  Most of Northwest Washington, bordered on the east by Rock Creek and Potomac Parkways, 15th and 17th Streets, and the eastern outline of the Tidal Basin.

District 3 |  Runs from Adams Morgan in the west to Howard University in the East; runs north to Columbia Heights and south to L Street NW.

District 3 Substation |  Made up of Patrol Service Areas 302 and 304 -- essentially, the area north of Florida Ave, NW between 16th Street and Georgia Ave. NW within the Third District.

District 4 |  A mix of neighborhoods in Northwest and Northeast D.C.; runs from Petworth in the south to the District's northern tip at the Maryland border. Includes Fort Totten, Brightwood, and part of The Catholic University of America.

District 5 |  Most of Northeast D.C. Runs from Trinidad in the south up to Brookland; includes the U.S. National Arboretum and Gallaudet University.

District 6 |  Contains neighborhoods in Southeast and Northeast D.C. The Anacostia River runs along its western border; it's framed by Good Hope Road to the south and Southern and Eastern Avenues to the east and north.
