ABOUT THIS STORY | Planners, developers and community members have involved themselves in forming the future vision of Tysons Corner. Federal approval of the Silver Line in December 2008 moved Tysons redevelopment closer to reality. The Tysons Corner Land Use Task Force has proposed an urban center focused around the planned Metro extension stations, but some community groups fear large development would greatly tax community resources, such as parks and schools, if it is not accompanied by planned expansions of services.
