In D.C., breakfast in the classroom

Educators and health experts have long stressed the link between breakfast and academic performance. But a handful of D.C. schools are starting to serve it in classrooms during first 15 minutes of the day, largely to minimize the traditional obstacle of getting kids in the cafeteria before classes begin.

This costumed lark may be a thread in a broader trend - a cyclical return to old-fashioned cocktails and chandelier lighting and waistcoats - that is nurturing a new brand of masculinity from the slick ashes of the European metrosexual.
