Aswan Market

Aswan, Egypt's southernmost city, is just north of the first cataract of the Nile, and represents the starting point for the journey north along the navigable portion of the Nile. It is also a destination for tourists visiting the massive High Dam, as well as the archaeological treasures of Philae and Kalabsha, rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser by UNESCO from 1960-1980.
