Packing a Chute

PANORAMA: Christian Wengel, from Munich, Germany, demonstrates the proper way to pack a parachute rig for a BASE jump off the New River Gorge Bridge. Wengel has been BASE jumping for seven years and comes to West Virginia from Munich almost every year for Bridge Day. BASE is an acronym that stands for parachute free falls from buildings, antennas, spans or earth.
