PANORAMA: Anti-government protesters in Bangkok continued to hold ground at Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej's office compound after he declared a state of emergency. Tens of thousands of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) members have occupied the Government House and several government buildings in Bangkok for over a week. Several unions including THAI airways and phone companies are threatening to strike in support of the PAD.
