Here are pass rates on the spring state Standards of Learning tests, with annual percentage-point changes noted in parentheses. Also listed is the number of schools in each system that fell short of adequate yearly progress (AYP) under the federal No Child Left Behind law. This year's target pass rates were 77 percent in reading and 75 percent in math.

English: 80 percent (up 5 points)
Math: 73 percent (up 3)
AYP missed: 6 (down 3)
