D.C. area residents and visitors to the nation's capital reflect on the meaning of the Watergate scandal one day after the identity of Deep Throat was confirmed by The Washington Post. The newspaper confirmed a Vanity Fair magazine report that FBI official David Felt was the secret source who assisted Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein with their Watergate coverage. Felt had remained Washington's most celebrated secret source for more than 30 years.
