On May 31, Brian Armstrong and a team of nine set off from Frostburg, Md., on a 10-day, 200-mile trek along the C&O Canal. The team hiked the distance without food or shelter to raise money for National Geographic's Afghan Girls Fund, a charity providing young women in Afghanistan with access to education.
