At the Port Allen Community Center in Baton Rouge, some 400 evacuees have found shelter from the rising water and violence in New Orleans.

Interviews with shelter director Judy Thousand and New Orleans residents Juanita Jones, Brian Myles, Betty Johnson, Floyd Jackson, Ahmad Brackens and Danny Antoine.
