| A lifelike dinosaur robot named Pleo sprang to life this week at a technology conference in Phoenix. Barely bigger than a squirrel, the tiny robot senses its surroundings and is programmed to react with emotion. Inside it is controlled by eight computer chips, 14 motors, 38 sensors and artificial intelligence software that helps it learn from its experiences. Pleo will cost $200 when it reaches stores this fall. IT was invented by Caleb Chung, co-creator of the Furby and co-founder of a new company called uGobe Inc. |
