Castro's Daughter Speaks Out

Forbidden to leave Cuba, Fidel Castro's eldest daughter escaped from the island in 1993 disguised as a Spanish tourist. Alina Fernandez Revuelta is the most outspoken of Castro's relatives and criticizes her father and his government regularly. She has a Spanish-language talk show on Miami's WQBA 1140 AM called "Simplemente Alina," or "Simply Alina." Like her father, she is well-known by her first name. She is at home among Cuban exiles, who are eager to see Castro's dominance over the island come to an end.
