Dominik Maican is a 17-year-old composer who lives in Bethesda. Each Saturday, he, his parents and the family dog drive to the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where Dominik attends classes in the school's pre-college division. A composer since the age of five, he is working on multiple pieces, including mass music for a Potomac church and a symphony at Juilliard. Music instructors say his talents, musical expression, and maturity are remarkable for his age.
