Carney takes to Podium

In his first press briefing, former journalist and new White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters while he does work for the president, he is "also here to help the press understand what we're doing, to give the best information I can give." Carney also joked Wednesday he has never seen the briefing room so crowded. (CBS News)
