Here Is New York On Sept. 12, 2001, a photograph taped to a SoHo storefront became the seed of a still-growing phenomenon. Inspired by that gesture, more than 1,500
photographers -- amateurs and professionals -- contributed images to the grassroots exhibition that became "Here Is New York."
More than 2,000 of the works collected will be on view at the Corcoran Gallery of Art beginning Sept. 7. Like the New York exhibition, these images of
the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Shanksville, Pa. will be displayed without credits or captions. Looking at History The Power of Images Entertainment Guide 1 of 16 |
