The Quilts of Gee's Bend
Arlonzia Pettway, right, and Mary Lee Bendolph, are two of the artists
featured in the Corcoran exhibit "The Quilts of Gee's Bend." The women
of this small and isolated community in southwestern Alabama have woven
an extraordinary collection of quilts inspired by their own remarkable
history.
