After the operations are both complete, Mary Anne embraces Martha as Sarah and Warren watch. Both donor and recipient speak positively about the experience, which they say cemented their friendship and bond. "I would not donate a kidney for a stranger," Martha writes. "But for Warren and his family, it's a different matter. We're friends. We count on each other."
