One Surgery of Many for Conjoined Twins
Jade and Erin Buckles, conjoined twins connected from mid-chest to mid-abdomen, are scheduled to be surgically separated on June 12 ,
almost four months after their birth at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. But first, they need to grow more skin: once separated, they will each lack about a third of the skin needed to cover their torsos.
