SpaceShipOne Takes Off
June 21- SpaceShipOne, attached to the underbelly of its launch plane White Knight, is rolled out from its hangar at Mojave Airport in southern California, prior to taking off for its first official flight. The craft earned the distinction of becoming the first privately built and funded vehicle to travel successfully beyond Earth's atmosphere.
