Home & Garden: House Calls Home & Garden

The Problem

"Our master bath is a good-sized room," Vanier-Walter writes in an e-mail, but "we only use half of it. The tub takes up about half of the room, and we rarely use it." She wants to rearrange the 8 1/3-by-12 1/4-foot space to include a bigger shower, his-and-her sinks and more storage space.

The Solution

» Remove the bathtub and create a custom shower that spans the length of one wall.
