The Boulays have spent several months remodeling their basement, which flooded two months after they bought the house. While the 27-by-21-foot dimensions are ample, low ceiling ducts and bad lighting have them stumped for how to use the space. They hope for room for a playroom, an office and a sewing/craft area. The beige-and-red flecked carpet is new.
